The City Bar Justice Center (CBJC) would like to thank Sterling National Bank for their generous contribution in support of financial literacy for veterans served by the City Bar Justice Center and our Veterans Assistance Project (VAP). VAP provides disabled, low-income veterans in New York City with pro bono legal assistance on issues related to their claims for benefits from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. The program has been a leading force in leveraging essential resources and services for underserved veterans and this recently established partnership is vital to increasing services. The donation will go towards expanding VAP’s current programing to help low income veterans and their families navigate complex processes and systems which often prevent them from securing benefits they are entitled to.
We are thrilled to have Sterling National Bank join the City Bar Justice Center as a supporter to help further the CBJC’s mission to build a New York in which civil justice is accessible to all.
Cheryl Lopez is the Communications & Development Manager for the City Bar Justice Center.
