Veterans Day Breakfast and CLE for Veterans Assistance Project Volunteers
by CBJC Staff October 28, 2016
Last year, volunteers for the Veterans Assistance Project (VAP) at the City Bar Justice Center secured over $540,000 in annual new Veterans disability benefits for their low-income veteran clients. By dedicating their time and legal skills to pro bono service, VAP volunteers have in many cases kept NYC veterans and their families out of poverty.
This Veterans Day, CBJC is thanking VAP volunteers with a free breakfast and CLE: “Ethics of Representing Veterans & Survivors Before the Department of Veterans Affairs.”
Thank you to our sponsors below for supporting this event. We are proud that the Justice Center’s Veterans Assistance Project has provided free legal assistance to over 1,300 veterans over the course of the Project’s history!
